We are fully insured with 20,000,000 Public liability, Workers compensation and Home Owners Warranty. We  guarantee all our work against faulty workmanship and maintain a full Builders Licence so our customers are protected by the Knowledge that we are established and qualified.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I decided to become involved in the building industry as it seemed a natural thing for me to do. I am a person who is naturally good with construction and design and have always relished in the opportunity of changing a property for the better.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

In 2006/7 we were engaged by Suncorp to undertake some 70 projects after the 2006 storms in Sydney and Newcastle. As a result of our great work here we were again asked to help out in the Mackay floods of 2008 where we carried out 87 projects from one off units to total blocks of town houses. We were required to totally gut properties and reinstate them back as new. We made a lot of people very happy after the floods had made them very sad

1.  How much will it cost?      My answer is that the final cost will depend on exactly what they want. So you really must no exactly what you want and what standard to you want to achieve. In most projects, the final cost is mostly effected by the value of the various inclusions and finishes.

We have and still are run by the same person who founded us and are a family business. Sydney Building Professionals is experienced in all facets of the building industry. We have all the trades and expertise required in house, for any project , plus a dedicated team of established, tried and trusted sub contractors and our own permanent Interior Designer. Our structure therefore enables us to make a quick start on your project with out the need to search the area for others to finalise a design or price. We do everything ourselves which saves our clients time and money while ensuring build quality.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

In all cases whereby a fixed quote is required we will need full and itemised documentation including any approval from Council that is required. However we can provide an on the spot budget after a brief consultation and then be in the position to quickly finalise documentation, council etc which will then enable the full  and fixed price prior to works commencing.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1.  Gather images and information of existing properties to show us want they are looking for in their completed project. 2.  Have us carry out their design and documentation to save architect fees. 3.  Make provision for a compressed project to reduce our time needed on site to a minimum, this may mean making alternate arrangements for accommodation while the project is being carried out

We will supply design and documentation to the value of $ 2,000 free to all projects over $ 50,000 or to the value of $ 10,000 to all projects over 150,000.  We will supply Free painting works to all full bathroom renovations.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Sydney Building Professionals are price competitive because we have the skill to price all our jobs in house as opposed to going to tender as others do. This provides substantial cost savings to us which we pass on to our clients. We also have an established team which works for us exclusively at reduced costs which also enables us to increase our price competitively.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We can supply our clients an up front and fixed price based on completed documentation provided or we can supply the design and documentation to a budget separately or we can project manage works to a clients moving budget on a cost plus basis.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We specialise in full package projects. That is to say that we will meet with you and carry out all design, documentation and construction which saves the need for our customers to find and have to manage separate designers, architects, builders and sub contractors. We do not however carry out new construction but focus on renovation work.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

As a builder I have over 20 years experience in all facets of the building Industry. My wife is an experienced Interior Designer so we both compliment each other very well. We had an Interior Design studio from 1998 through until 2008 in which we carried out non stop design and construction of all manor of renovation work specialising in total house make overs for new owners while at the same time renovating as many as 4 or 5 bathrooms and kitchens at a time. We are the right people for your project.
