How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I've had a passion for design and technology all throughout my career as well as a great understanding of marketing. Web Design allows me to combine all three aspects and share them with a great bunch of customers.

What do you like most about your job?

I get the greatest thrill from hearing what my client's new website is doing for them. When I get a call a few days after a new website goes live and they tell me about the new order they just received, all because of their website, I could not feel happier.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

How much of my time will I have to spend with you whilst you build my website and what will I have to do?  We take away biggest single hurdle that every potential web design client faces by doing everything, from design / development through to photography and copywriting.   I conduct a workshop with relevant stakeholders at the beginning of the project to gather all the information we need and formulate a plan / strategy for success.  I know how valuable your time is.

I have a history of trust and success with over 100 website projects completed. I've never advertised (until now) and relied solely on referrals and my reputation.

I have a real feeling of shared success where we only prosper if you the customers does as well. I've built over 100 websites in the last 3 years and have seen them all deliver great results.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I usually need to know they type of business, what the goals are for the website, and the types of things that you would like to have on the website. Also, is it a new website or replacing an existing one. Nothing too detailed, just a general idea.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

If you don't already have a domain name registered or web hosting arranged. I can usually arrange both of these and combine them with a website package and save you money.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Because I do all the work myself and do it to a high standard, I don't have to worry about the overheads associated with a team approach. I deal with you from beginning to end.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I will provide a fixed price at the beginning of the project so there are no surprises. I will require a 10% deposit from you at commencement with the balance upon delivery.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

For content management, I usually build with Wordpress - makes it easier and more cost effective for the customer. For eCommerce and online stores, I use OpenCart for similar reasons. I know them both very well.
