TGH Lawncare – Business Story. After having gone through a great many variations in jobs and vocations in my lifetime and reaching mature years I decided to focus on something I loved. The result was TGH Lawncare. TGH Lawncare is a relatively new business that was officially established and launched by me in March of this year 2020 in Laverton, but its beginnings go back to November of 2019 when after being satisfied with mowing my own lawn and noticing the overgrown property opposite mine, decided to wander over and offer my services at the very frugal rate of $20 per hour. The surprised occupants accepted and were delighted at the outcome, and so the proverbial light bulb went off in my head. And with help from the governments NEIS scheme I was able to get the knowledge, mentoring and financial support needed to officially open my business to the general public. For a number of months I did not have transport and manually wheeled my mower, laden with shears, broom and whipper snipper to jobs in my own street and surrounds acquired via a letterbox drop of green paper print out of my abilities and rates. This was somewhat improved when I purchased a good quality garden trolley which I could snugly fit my 1st 'Gardenline' mower into, which I bought from Aldi for $150. Thankfully with some strong family support I was finally able to be in possession of a beautiful golden Holden Ute, and from there the wonderful journey began. TGH are my initials ie Trevor Graeme Holden. I have always had a love of nature and using whatever means I had accessible at the time to carve it into as beautiful picture as I could make, mowing lawns, pruning trees, shearing hedges and perfecting edging. I now have professional commercial equipment to do all types of mowing and garden maintenance jobs. And with the aid of my new apprentice who has the same passion and work ethic as me we are able to tame the wildest of jungle backyards.
