I will guarantee work i complete with high quality products on new surfaces for up to five years for product failure. It is difficult to guarantee something with multiple layers of paint, especially if it is peeling.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I didn't actually chose to be a painter. I was 18 and needed a job, and my girlfriend's brother owned a painting business. Now i am 48 and have found the trade to be a reliable source of income, and quite satifying having many beautiful accomplishments over the years.

I painted for many very wealthy people, politicians, big business owners, a few celebrities, and a whole lot of just average working people. There are many very interesting people i have met in this trade, some of which have become great friends. Hard to pick a favorite.

I like seeing satisfied customers smile and thank me for doing a great job. That is probably the most gratifying part of this trade. Making things look beautiful. :)

They should ask for the necessary insurances and if you are liscened, as for references and ratings.It helps to know the level of your painter's experience and the depth of his knowledge.

"How much is it going to cost?" is the most common question, and that all depends on numerous factors, mainly surface preperation, project duration and cost of materials.

I am a man of my word and always deliver prompt proffesional service. I will not put your job off to work on another job. Once i begin your project, i am there every weekday until completion.

The square meters of area that needs painted, number of doors, and windows,the height, accessability, the condition of surfaces, the type of paints or finishes desired and the time frame in which it needs to be completed.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

For exterior work, by pressure washing or cleaning areas that need painted. If a client wanted to do all or some of the preperations, such as filling, puttying, sanding or gapping, and all i have to do is show up and paint, then the price would be significantly lower.

I offer a 10% discount for pensioners and do not unnecessarily overcharge for easy jobs. I can usually beat higher bids because of my system and speed i have developed over 28 years. What may take an average painter 2days , i may do in one day, meaning less man hours, which results in lower prices.

A square meter basis,which varies depending on the amount of surface preparation, accessability (the need to erect scaffolding) and other factors which are detailed in the estimate,

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialize in fine finishes, enamels, stains, laquers and woodwork. I am particularly skilled at painting at greater heights, that most people are not comfortable doing. I have painted many multi level homes built on cliffs and in hard to reach places. I was the "go- to guy" in my region for that.
