How did you decide to get into your line of work?

A lady came to me for singing lessons so she could sing with her groom in the ceremony.  I accompanied them on the day and I recognized the celebrant from another wedding that year where I played and coached another singing student to sing at his son's wedding.  With my skills and experience I thought to my self "I can do what this guy up the front is doing and even better!

What do you like most about your job?

meeting new people and helping them like really no one else can on their special day.   The relationship I forge with them lasts beyond their wedding day.  I keep in contact and they keep in contact with me.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

How many weddings do you do in a day? Will you be on time? Can you assist us in a rehearsal free of charge? Can you coach us to say our vows? How can you make our wedding special without cheap gimmicks? Will you listen to what we want to do?

Q:How much is it going to cost?   A:depends on what services you require of me! Q: Do I really have to have a birth certificate?  A:If you are born in Australia the answer is Yes!

If you phone me or email me I will contact you within 24 hours often earlier.  I realize your time is precious as mine is.  I also manage a music business as well as holiday accommodation and this keeps me on my toes and fresh rather than just doing one thing and getting stale and bored with it.

I'm there to help you both leading up to as well as on the day.   I use my experience of performing and sense of humor to set you and your guests at ease. (I've never done a boring wedding yet!)I have done extras from calligraphy on certificates to tying the grooms tie for him

Where is the ceremony?  Is it local or far away? Do I need overnight accommodation? Do you want me to sing as part of the ceremony? Do you want a themed wedding such as myself to dress up as Elvis to do the ceremony in character?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Find your birth certificates or get them before you make an appointment with me as a celebrant. keep your  bridal party to under three bridesmaids and groomsmen Ask a good friend to do photography.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I offer free visits, countless emails and phone calls and little extras such as personally writing your certificates in calligraphy.  I offer a free rehearsal as well as listening to your expectations and helping you all along the way.

How do you normally charge for your service?

It depends on which services they require and how far I have to travel and how much work is involved. If I need to stay overnight or dress up as Elvis then that has to be taken into account.

I have a double degree in Arts and Education with a Major in Drama.  I use my gift of song and performance skills to make your special day an individual ceremony like no other!

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have a broad range of life skills, training and experience that compliment my role as a celebrant for your wedding.  I teach in schools and often have to improvise and engage a sometimes hostile audience.  I use humor and tell stories to get their attention.   Compared to a rebellious year 9 class an attentive audience of guests at a wedding are a delight!
