  I am terribly disappointed to have to leave this bad review however after trying to arrange with the man at Tile Deck to come back and rectify the unsatisfactory work that was undertaken and his failure to respond to numerous text messages and phone calls from my husband I am left with no choice. The job was tiling the front patio and stairs to our home, laying over very solid existing tiles. Initially Tile Deck was good to communicate with, price was good, showed up as promised and started the job. We discussed the job once he arrived and all parties were satisfied with going straight over the existing tiles. I was busy with my own work so left them to it. At the end of the first day I did have a few alarm bells but thought maybe I was being too quick to judge and that they would probably finish everything ok. How wrong I was. Unfortunately my husband paid them the money in cash (no invoice was provided) without properly inspecting the job or consulting with me and after we were able to walk on the tiles and inspect the job thoroughly we found numerous drummy tiles, very poor cuts, uneven wonky laying, with one of the tiles raised approximately 5mm high on one side. We have been attempting to get them back for over a week now with no success. We have unfortunately had to call somebody else to come and rectify these mistakes which will cost us more money. In one of the very few replies we have had from them they have blamed the existing tiles for the unevenness of the new work. If they had this concern they could have communicated this at any time from when we initially discussed laying over the existing tiles to during the job when any problems arose. I recommend doing your own research before using this company and definitely do not pay any money until you are satisfied with the result. I really didn’t want to leave this review and if Tile Deck would have come back and fixed the problems I wouldn’t have had to.
