I am insured and al licenced plumbers must guarantee their work. If you use a plumber that does not include their licence number with their ad in Western Australia , then you have hired another cowboy.

Highly experienced. 37years experience is included in the hourly rate.  Not all plumbers in Perth have that. If my customers are left happy , so am I.  Word of mouth is my favoured way of advertising Perth companies in the plumbing and gas industries that use tv, radio and google are billed exhorborant rates and they pass this onto their customers. You end up with a plumber in a van and the same tools and equipment, insurances and licensing that I have at twice the price I charge!

Pre determined plan and layout of the end result. Final decisions on colour scheme like Crome or white. Size and shape or type of fittings and fixtures required so the costs of materials will be accurate from the beginning

Have a plan of your future work drawn out in a format that you are happy with for easier ways to quote the job. Select the type of fittings or colour of items you want most.eg Crome or white in colour or ceramic disk or conventional tap washer. Dual bowl or single or electric heater or gas.ect

$110 per hour rate is cutting to the bone overheads and running costs and I must get enough work per week to cover my weeks wage and superannuation. A less frills hourly rate will give the public exposure to my skills and honesty and should promote my sales as word of mouth rather an costly advertising and the winners will be customers paying less.

The smaller the organisation , the fewer the staff and hidden costs involved  that are then passed onto the consumer. The hourly rates are increased by larger companies when they enlarge the areas they cover and advertise to cover.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Overheads such as licence fees , insurances and advertising , phones and computer equipment , office area and workshop , vehicle running costs, plant and equipment and many more are swallowed up in the hourly rate and I end up with a weekly wage. My rates are lower than larger companies because I do the secretary, manager and tradesman ect jobs with no other staff.
