How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was feeling disconnected with myself and in a high stress situation, and daily instrumental learning and practice on a flute supported me to find passion and connection to myself again. It also supported me to begin breathing from the diaphragm and connecting more deeply into my body and emotions. The creative expression was an unexpected by product of this process.

A couple actually.....  Didgeridoo Lessons Saved a Marriage One fellow was mid 60's and retired after more than 40 years working in a trade, much of them in his own business. His life was very much attuned to the routine of going out 5 days a week and completing a practical service for customers for income. He relied on his business for routine, for money, for sense of achievement, for social connection, status and sense of self. When his stress levels became too much to continue his work, he retired. Unfortunately, this fellow became unbearable at home. Like a bear with a sore paw, snapping at his wife, OCD with the household cleanliness and unable to relax. He had a lot of stored energy to discharge and nowhere to put it! So, he applied himself vigorously to practicing the circular breathing process for at least 2 hours per day. Quickly, this became a foundation of self exploration, connection to his breath and breathing more deeply into his diaphragm, self expression, etc. After about 4-5 weeks, he successfully was able to circular breathe. When this happened, he continued the daily play on his didgeridoo and the stored stress energy started to discharge as he did so. He slowly unlocked a deeper level of connection, sense of pride, confidence and self worth. Many months later, he returned saying that his daily didgeridoo practice had saved his marriage, his sex life was the best it had ever been and he had a new lease on life. In effect, for him, the didgeridoo had been a bridge that allowed him to become more embodied and process unresolved emotions (Energy-in-motion).  Didgeridoo Playing Breaks Drug Addiction The second story I would like to share is a student who was about 30ish. He was not experiencing life difficulties when learning, but he felt inspired and passionate about learning to play. He was a mega fast learner, and within 4 weeks, he returned for his second lesson to demonstrate the ability to play comfortably with full circular breathing. His playing was beautiful and a very healing energy emanated from the sound of his song. He remarked during his second and final lesson that he had stopped smoking marijuana permanently since learning to play. It had been 2 weeks since he first correctly did the breathing and he had not desired to smoke even once in that time (After a lengthy habit of doing so over years). Of course this result cannot be guaranteed from lessons, but as you can see, activating the ability to circular breathe and play the didgeridoo can for some unlock unexpected benefits.  For most men, the result of learning is at a minimum: - Increase in Self worth, confidence, self expression, - Deeper connection to the breath and creative and emotional expression, - Feeling more centred and grounded  Personally, I had been on an asthma puffer for 10 years before learning to circular breathe. After 2 years of thoroughly enjoying playing, I realised I had not touched or thought about my puffer in 2 years. It was undoubtedly the didgeridoo that had created this increased strength and resilience in my respiratory system.  Tin Whistle Lover - Late 60's A local man came to me in his late 60's to learn the tin whistle. Progress for him was slow, for he had never learned to play an instrument before. He practiced with great dedication every morning on both his playing and learning to read music. Now 3 years on, he has a deep love and connection to the tin whistle and he says it has brought him a great amount of joy in his retirement and a health place to put his focus, energy, and attention every day. He also comments on the joy this skill has brought his family and friends and the confidence he has gained to now play publicly.
