How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Following a back injury whilst working as a mechanic, I decided to look into sharpening. It also allows me to spend more time with my two children and watch them develop and grow.

Firstly, ask how long they've been in the industry and what areas they specialise in. Sharpening is almost an art. Without passion and love for your work, I don't feel you're able to put in the effort and skills need to achieve a first class result.

I guess my most common question is "I wish I'd found you years ago" It's funny how you can be in the same industry for so long, yet a lot of people make do with the sharpener they've been using for ages, even when they're not happy with the service!

I love what I do and enjoy my job. I get great satisfaction from "giving you a better edge" than when we first met. Although I've been doing this for over a decade, I'm still learning new things every day. I aim to constantly improve and upgrade my skills.

I can generally provide and quote for sharpening over the phone. But for restoration work I much prefer to meet with you and examine the job. Multiple discounts are available, along with free return post for larger orders.

Take care of your knives and blades. Please ! They're valuable tools that are a pain to use when they're blunt, not to mention potentially dangerous. Simple tips are to avoid rust, clean them regularly and make sure they're stored safely. I'll happily discuss options for taking care of your edges and will advise the best methods based on your individual needs.

My services are charged on a COD basis. Although I'm happy to discuss account applications for regular clients. I accept cash, Bank Deposit and Paypal, along with personal cheques by prior arrangement.

I specialise in scissors, knives and clipper blades. But I'm also happy to sharpen axes, swords and cleavers. In fact, if it's got an edge, I'll try and sharpen it ! Of course, if I can't satisfy you, the customer, I won't charge a cent.
