What do you like most about your job?
Everything about signs!
I once thought I would retreat from the sign industry and was a general manager at a customized stationery company. I disliked every minute of it and longed to be back in the sign industry.
The diversity I have with every project means I'm never bored and love my work!
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I once designed new signage for Rose Porteous' daughter for her new bridal shop.
She stood behind me and watched me whip up 5 designs based on her ideas in no time.
She was so blown away with the speed of my hands and mind working the design software she gave me a round of applause. That was nice.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I have worked since the age of 7. My first love was upholstery making Chesterfield Lounges with my fathers business until the age of 19. We broke 2 world records for the longest Chesterfield settee. I was always designing lounges. When my father sold the business I looked for another design career.
