It is crucial that a trainer carries the correct insurance. I am a qualified trainer with Fitness Australia. Additionally I carry Public liability and professional indemnity protection. I also have first aid and CPR qualifications.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After having played probably every sport at school and then going on to represent Australia at international level and having the greatest time. It seemed only natural that I would want to share the joy of physical activity with others. Helping them achieve their health, fitness and sporting goals.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Every customer has their own story of trying, and achieving. But I think the one that stands out the most is helping one of my 60 year old ladies with no sporting background run her first ever half marathon!!

What I do is no longer a job. It is a privilege to work with people to achieve their goals. When they do it, it is the best part of my "job"

Important questions to ask would include, are you qualified, how long and what experience do you have, and can I speak with some past and current clients that you are working with.

Probably the most common question is "when am I am going to lose this weight?"  It would always be nice to be able to say that it will be tomorrow but unfortunately it is seldom the case and it is my answer that we put together a strategy and stick to the plan. It is my responsibility to be honest.

Being a trainer and working with clients is a two way street in order to achieve their goals. It is I believe my ability to work with people over the long term makes me the most suitable for the job.

There are many good personal trainers out there but I believe it is getting the right fit between the client and the trainer. The most important thing is that you as the client feel comfortable with your trainer and  that you will achieve your goals. I believe that I can help you achieve them.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

To help me give you the best possible quote, it is helpful to know the session length and times per week and usually the location. Also it is good to know if you would prefer group or private sessions or a mixture of both.

Thr tips to save money are, Make sure you are on time for the session to ensure you get everything out of it.  Bring a great attitude and a willingness to give it a go.  Ask me questions so we can work together in the best possible way.

We can offer both group sessions and individual sessions depending on the individuals needs. Some people enjoy the group setting which is cheaper and offers the motivation of others while others enjoy training individually. This gives everyone a choice of training modalities.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I normally charge on a per session rate. Depending on the needs of the client. Some people like to exercise for an hour while others only for 45 minutes. It is really up to the individual.

I can cater to all people wanting to achieve a new level of health and fitness. I enjoy working with all people who are willing to make a change.

I am a registered and insured level 3 personal trainer and have 12 years experience working with a variety of individuals and companies. I have also previously won personal training business of the year in NSW.
