Web Science is a provider of website design services and is statically based in Greystanes close to Parramatta. We are rarely required to travel off premises to perform work and as such we do not have or need any type of public liability insurance or any other types of insurance cover. Any insurance cover for this type of business is unnecessary and non-applicable.

Web Science emphasises the need to be clear about the amount of written content you require on the site and exactly where this content will be sourced from or who will be responsible to write it. Writing good content can actually be more time consuming than building websites. Although the two skills go hand in hand customers would be astonished about how much money they could save if they took the time to write a lot of the content that will end up on the website. This way, as web designers we can focus on what we do best which is designing and when it comes to the content we can simply copy and paste what a client has already provided.

Customers can easily save some of their valuable monetary resources by attempting to source graphical content for their website before the job commences. Another great way to save is by taking the time to write your own content for your website as no-one should know better about the content they want on their site than the owner of the site.  We often come across scenarios where the customer could of saved hundreds of dollars by simply sitting down and taking the time ti think about the written content they want on their site. Another great way to save money in the long run is to decide the exact keyword you want your website to rank for before you commence building it. If you want your website to rank well for the keyword 'website design Parramatta' then it makes sense to build the site around this keyword from the start rather than hire expensive seo services to help you try and rank for that keyword later down the track. 50% of the seo companies job will be to re-do what simply should have been done from the start, which is to build the site around the keyword from the beginning.

Our pricing has a competitive edge because we bring a wealth of software experience to the table which allows us to get most jobs done more efficiently. Although our hourly rate might not be the cheapest we often finish projects earlier than expected and the customer often ends up paying much less than if they were to have chosen a fixed price from another provider.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Web Science charges an hourly rate for most projects as the nature of web design is such that unforeseen aspects of certain websites requires less or more work than first expected. We find that we can save customers money by charging an hourly rate as we have a lot of pre-made code snippets, graphics and templates to choose from and this helps us to provide better value for our customers.  It also protects our best interests as customers often request extras as the job progresses and when we operate under hourly parameters it's much easier to maintain an accurate record of the time and costs involved. On certain projects where there isn't much chance of project scope variation we are happy to provide a fixed cost but about 80% of the time we bill by the hour.

Web Science primarily focuses on small business websites. Our aim is to add that something special to your business website by ensuring that all the sites we build are highly functional and very pleasing to the eye.    Your clients need to be visually engaged when visiting your website and we factor this into the design elements we create for your site. We believe that even if a business niche is somewhat clinical or bland it doesn’t mean that the website cannot entertain the potential client and project your business operatives in a refreshing, modern and sophisticated manner.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Web Design is a great passion of mine and professional and highly functional websites are the outcome. I enjoy learning new software and my favorite program would have to be Photoshop. I'm highly experienced in working with WordPress and Magento and enjoy taking conceptual business ideas and turning them into online digital realities. Search engine optimisation is also a skill I posses & I know a great deal about the subject which helps to rank the websites I build high in the search results. I am a highly skilled user of Adobe software such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and In-Design and have great experience using a multitude of seo software.
