How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a young girl, I was a tom boy, I didnt know anything about skincare or makeup. When my daughter was early teens, she wanted to learn makeup and skincare. I couldnt teach her anything, so I joined Nutrimetics so she could do a course, but instead of her just learning, I took everything in and thought, I wish I had of known this when I was young. That is how my passion started, and from then on I wanted to learn, but also teach people about the skin and makeup. The journey then started and know teach and do makeup. There is nothing nicer that someone coming up to you and saying, how they learnt so much from me and are now looking after there skin. The saying is , if you find something you love , you never have to work again. That is were I am. I just love it.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

To me every customer is my favourite. But recently I did a trial for a wedding, and when the girl looked in the mirrow, she started to cry and said (  You make me beautiful) she had tears in her eyes, which then stated me. I said you are beautiful, I just added a little to it to make you shine.  Then that was followed by a hugh hug.

What do you like most about your job?

It is the best feeling, when you make the person feel so special. How many jobs can give you the chance to be apart of so many special occasions.  Especially with Brides, as there wedding photos will be with them forever. I know how special the makeup artist was to me on my day, and that is what I want people to remember me, as being a special part of there day.

I think over the phone, you can pick some things, but it is so important to meet the person before and make a connection. You are putting so much in that person, you need to meet them, or if they are booking out of town, make sure you are correct with all the details, the professional, should be listening to exactly you want.

Because I will never let anyone down. I have recently had 2 calls, from brides, that there makeup artist cancelled at the last moment. I would never do that.

I love giving the best of service to my customers, but also it is always a honor to be booked for someones special day. As I want to make the day the best it can be for the person, not just doing makeup, but taking all the stress out of the day., by offering a trial before the event, they know exactly how they are going to feel and look.

I offer a free trial for the bride, before the wedding. Alot of makeup artist dont offer that, so that is my special.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I always try to keep my prices to a fair price. My price is the same to graduation makeup to wedding makeup. People always say , how much for wedding makeup. I say my price is all the same, as I give the same amount of effect to every makeup I do. I think people charge to much at time.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge $55 per person for makeup, but I offer a free trial to the bride before the event, so we can look at her skin and do a trial on colours, so on the day, we are both on the same way, to the result being wanted. I charge a fuel fee, if the wedding is out of town, we will agree on a Fuel charge and time, but is based on the location.

I think it has to be a combination of all. You cant get the best result from only doing a little right. It has be a process, which I believe I offer.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been doing Nutrimetics for around 10 years, and the knowledge I have learnt from the basic skin programs to Master Makeup Courses. I believe you have to understand both to do a great job. Working with a client before the event, so on the day her skin glows, but also is so smooth and radiant.
