We have an older rescue cat who has had a very tough start to life, so he is a little skittish and needs someone who understands that. He is not aggressive but he scared easily and might try to bite. He is unable to groom himself and I tried to brush him but it must hurt. I thought if he gets shaved I can then stay on top of his grooming for him. The matted fur is mostly around the top and sides of his back legs.
