We are insured under the Queensland Law Society Professional Indemnity Scheme. We do, and in any event are required by law, to guarantee our work.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started the Family Law division in a legal firm I worked for over 30 years ago. I had to learn the hard way but doing so gave me a great foundation of knowledge in this very specialized area. Working with everyday people and making a difference to theirs and their family's life was fulfilling.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My recent favorite was when one of our clients held a get together with her many lady friends, several whom she'd previously referred to us regarding difficult International Relocation Law. They held their party at a local park with their children & a banner proclaiming "Andrew is the Solution" - AMAZING!

What do you like most about your job?

Essentially, lawyers are problem solvers. Working with our clients one-on-one, really listening to the problem they want solved, and understanding how that outcome will give them/their family 'peace of mind' is important to us. We are here to make a difference and better people's lives.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Make sure the lawyer REALLY is a Specialist in the area you need. Be careful you're not told they're a specialist eg Family Law Specialist, when they're not. Don't choose JUST based on fee quoted, as you often pay 2 or 3 X more. Depends how proficient your lawyer works. Some drag jobs out.

We will always give you a 100% honest answer to any question you may ask of us . If we do not know the answer to your question, we will always find out the correct answer rather than give you information, or lead you to think something which is not correct so as to achieve your best outcome.

Please have as much information about what you need when you call for a quote. Sometimes the easiest thing is to make a first consultation appointment with us so you can get a good feel for us, and we can answer your questions in an upfront way.

1. Bring to your first conference relevant document and information (eg. Re: Property Cases - current Mortgage Debt; Superannuation Balances etc 2. For Wills: Think about who you might like as an Executor or Executors

Our Conveyancing rates are extremely competitive. Our Family Law rate despite our decades of experience is also highly competitive because we work quickly and efficiently. We do not waste time on unnecessary and wasteful attendances, nor do we allow matters to drag on that can be settled quickly.

Fixed fee to be negotiated and agreed upon for most matters.  Hourly rates for litigious Family Law matters (that is matters before the court, where no fixed fee can be quoted or calculated)
