All lawyers in Victoria are required to hold professional indemnity insurance through the Legal Practitioners' Liability Committee ("LPLC"). Cruz Legal holds the required insurance with the LPLC.

Clients often ask if they will "win in Court" or "how much will it cost"? Honestly, it's never possible to guarantee a win to any client, as the outcome depends on too many variables, such as the client's account, their opposition's account and sometimes unforeseen circumstances that arise.

Apart from fixed-fee types of work (eg conveyancing, standard Wills and Powers of Attorney), we need a clear factual account of the matter, which we generally obtain from you in the first meeting.

1) Please bring all documentation to your meeting with our lawyers and have a chronology of events (ie your story with facts, dates and times) clearly set out.  2) Answer all questions asked by the lawyer clearly and honestly. 3) Bring a friend or support person with you if it helps.

For clients who engage us through OneFlare, we offer a special of $350.00 (plus GST) for standard individual Wills, please mention this at the time of contacting us. Otherwise our standard Wills are $450.00 (plus GST) each or $750.00 (plus GST) for 'mirror' Wills (ie husband/ wife, partners).

We usually quote a fixed fee for most legal services (ie conveyancing, leasing, franchise document review, contract reviews).  For litigious matters (ie going to court) we charge an hourly fee and we will indicate a fee range, depending on the type of matter.

We have experience in many areas of the law, including business, property and criminal law.  Our focus is to achieve realistic and practical outcomes that support our clients best interests, allowing clients to focus on other, more important parts of their lives.

Our Principal Partner has nearly 10 years of experience in private practice and as a government lawyer.  Our work is more comprehensive than many of our competitors, some of whom may undertake only the minimum work required in order to keep their costs lower.
