  We hired him to do a small extension to an existing driveway for a turning bay. It was approximately 6m x 2 m already excavated. Having agreed to a price we could afford, he turned up, asked for half the price in cash for materials. He then supposedly went to Bunnings, returning with 1 sheet of small gauge rusty mesh, a smaller sheet of thicker mesh, a roll of cheap expansion joint and small ‘chairs’ to hold mesh up. He cut an edge only 2cm deep on adjacent concrete and placed expansion joint which didn’t sit straight. Then he went to lunch for two hours with his girlfriend closeby. By the time he returned it was too late to order and pour concrete and rain was forecast. He sent a message that he would return three days later, and we were to have the rest of the cash for him before the concrete arrived, However there was another storm forecast for that time. So he promised and said he checked that he could get concrete on Christmas Eve. About 10pm on the night before we received a message that all suppliers were closed until 7th January and that is the last we heard from him. Bunnings said they did not supply the rusty iron. I can see from this page that he did a job in Northmead on 18th January last. NCAT has issued an order that he is to pay back most of the money and collect his rusty mesh and dirty tools.

  Damien exceeded all of my expectations with the work he completed at my home. He stuck to the budget as agreed and finished ahead of time! Once the retaining walls were up, and the job started taking shape both my partner and I were extremely happy. Damien spent a lot of time explaining what he was doing to me so I could understand the vision he had and even ensured everything was up to scratch with council.
