Review 27 May 2017It is with great regret I hired Patrick. I asked him to paint 4 rooms. He refused to come to see the rooms - first red flag. He was late to come 3 times, siting my delayed response to give him my address - given within minutes of his request on the day of painting - so instead of coming 10am h... It is with great regret I hired Patrick. I asked him to paint 4 rooms. He refused to come to see the rooms - first red flag. He was late to come 3 times, siting my delayed response to give him my address - given within minutes of his request on the day of painting - so instead of coming 10am he presented after 5pm! He rang after I cancelled his services lying he had all the paint with him in the car and he was on his way, he only 'quickly' purchased 1 tin. The following morning he presented with 2 other 'professional' painters, only one was! After an accident with tipped over paint, I was reassured that all will be cleaned up. What can one say - I had to clean up paint from the wooden floor, side boards, window frames, 2 bathroom floor tiles, sink, tapes, front door handle and my bathroom mat is now in the bin due to the paint footsteps, as is an outside mat. I found 2 paint and water soaked tea towels on a wooden chest the next day. The master bedroom carpet had paint drips on it. Two of the rooms I can see the original cream colour through the coloured paint, one I have to redo myself. He then had the courage to ask to return to paint the hall when I am ready. The answer is a resounding no, no I would not recommend him, no he will not return to do the hall. Read more

The house was so unorganised and furniture were not moved away from the wall as arranged. Under the conditions my staff and I worked diligently and we completed the job on time and she inspected the job thoroughly and a couple spots we had overlooked was picked up by the customer and asked us to fix it which we did immediately.She said she was very happy with the job and paid me and a receipt was issued.I advised her that if theres nything later she finds that not happy with I would come back and fix it up. I did offer to paint her hallway at a later date if she neede me to because of her being satisfied with the job. Yes one of my staff did miss his step on the ladder and fell over and spilled some paint which we made her aware of and cleaned the floor thoroughly. Accidents do happen sometimes and the wall of her house was about 5m at the highest point and there were lots of furniture in the way. What can I say this bad review comes as a surprise to me as she never contacted me or complained or asked me o come back and fix it. I dont think its fair to hold me responsible if I wsnt made aware of her dissatisfaction.

Was quoted a figure over the phone for cleaning and carpets & was advised he would email me a quote but he didn't, he called to say there was some confusion and the verbal quote didn't include Windows (even thought I requested it) so quoted a new figure & said he'd send me an email for... The guys doing the windows and oven said I was supposed to pay them cash but I didn't know how much. So I called 30 mins after the carpet guy was supposed to be there to find out where he was and what I was supposed to pay the other cleaner & he advised something had broken down and he wouldn't be there until the evening so I just paid the other cleaner the full amount even though the carpets weren't done at this stage. Had to call again to ask whether the carpets got cleaned that evening which he confirmed they were. Asked him to sent me a receipt so I could show the landlords at my final inspection but he didn't email me that either. Read more

He only cleaned x2 bedrooms and living room. -we agreed he will do the job at 7am, he called the day before and asked to come earlier. -not 4 tiny spots left as he says, about 80% spots left they were just lighter, but after drying I could see them very well. -I re-cleaned carpets with my domestic Bissell Proheat All Rounder, and all spots came off. -and last, I didn't want free cleaning as Patrick says in his comment. I offered 50% refund if she got another professional carpet cleaner to remove them successfully as it would cost her only for that little area.she obviously wants a free carpet cleanMachine may not look great as i have been in the business for quite a while but it is a professional commercial machine and works very well! I tried to please customer as much as i can when she wanted me to turn up at 6.30am for the clean. Some people are just never satisfied no matter what you offer. I cleaned 5 rooms of carpet successfully except for those 4 tiny spots.

I used this company over a month ago through hi pages to do the cleaning of my roof tiles. Great job done at a fair price.Now my roof tiles look like new.Will call them again to paint my gutters.

I normally dont have have or give much time to write a review about a business but i was very impressed with this business the way they conducted themselves and did an excellent job with my old tiled roof how they cleaned it so well and what a great paint job they did with my roof. It looks like... I would just like to recommend Patrick and his team for doing a fantastic job painting my whole house. They were very professional and neat and did a remarkable job especially with my bathroom that was very water damaged. I would recommend anyone looking for a good painter to use these guys.

I was let down at the last minute by another handyman i engaged to do some work around the house because I was selling my house. I contacted Patrick and his team and they did various jobs around my house such as painting,hanging a couple of new doors and some skirting that needed fixing. Patric... I did not get messages or phone clls from customer other than requesting for a tax invoice which I forwarded immediately.

Fantastic! Patrick is your guy. We were a very difficult situation - when the original cleaners we hired tried to rip us off, we asked them to leave. I would like to say that I was extremely impressed with Around the house Home Improvements with my Bond clean they did. I have never experienced such good and reliable cleaners that came in and just got on with the work and left my house in a pristine condition. Would definately use them again

Excellent vacate clean! Very impressed how Around the house came very promptly with all the right gear and spray painted my colour bond fence from cream to charcoal. Very happy with the carpet cleaning Patrick did for me a few weeks ago! He was very professional and put a lot of effort in removing some stubborn stains. He was very upfront and honest in telling me that some stains may remain due to age of carpet and the time frame the stains have been there.... Great Job! My windows look so clean that the other day my dog ran into the glass sliding door thinking there was nothing there. Around the House Home Improvements came on time and cleaned my windows to perfection. Thank you Patrick for a beautiful service and I would recommend you to others.

Patrick cleaned the carpets in our whole house he did a great job, the carpets very pretty dirty before he started and came up like new apart from a minor 2 spots which i didn't expect to even look as good as they did in the end. I will definitely use him again. he was friendly and professional....
