Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

The type of industry that iImagination is involved in presents no threat of injury to clients. The object of design is to create interest from potential customers to our clients, and although we cannot guarantee an interest exists for our clients products or services, we will present what they have to offer in an attractive and exciting manner. All artwork produced is backed-up to disc, and a copy given to our customers.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

At 18, with no real career direction, I applied for numerous apprenticeships. My father and brother were already employed in the printing industry, and as fate would have it, this fact stood me in good stead when I applied for an apprentice hand and machiine compositor position. Subsequently I have evolved with the industry to where I am today.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I have several stories, one of which involves a Holden dealership, who loved the Advertisement I produced for them so much and it was so successful, they ran the ad for over 12 months. Another came from a client who needed a logo produced. He wrote the following in an email: "Hey Phil, Just wanted to say thanks for your work. I was very impressed with the outcome and would recommend you to anyone. All the best for the New Year."

All business need to market their products or services. This presents my business with an extensive variety of projects and challenges, when achieved, rewards us with great satisfaction.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Accepted Answer

For a website service, it is imperative they ask if the service professional has the capacity to produce the required back end to a website, especially if it is a ecommerce website. They should also ask if there are any hidden costs, not expressly identified in any quotes. They should request a quote with the final cost and ensure the provider sticks to it.

Q. Are you available when I need you? A. At iImagination we are available 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Q. How much do you charge? A. We have set prices for certain packages, and outside of those we charge a mere $50 per hour! Q. Can you produce this artwork for printing and adapt it to another size for an advertisement or other purpose? A. Most definitely. Once you have approved the initial artwork, it can be adapted for any other purpose.

When iImagination is entrusted with marketing a business, it is our philosophy that our clients success is our success. We go the extra yards needed to ensure this result, while maintaining any sensitive information remains confidential. We are not happy until our clients are happy.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

iImagination offers over 35 years experience in the printing and design industry, having been employed within art departments of boutique advertising agencies and printing companies, but WITHOUT the elevated price tags to offset elevated overheads. In a nutshell, clients will get the same quality work at a much reduced price.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Graphic design projects vary considerably, however basic information would include the dimensions in cm, number of pages if more than one, number of copies if a print project, publication for insertion if an advertisment, and amount of interactivity required if the assignment is internet base. There are many other variables depending on the project.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Firstly, simply by employing iImagination for their projects will save them on labour costs. Secondly, to minimise changes, clients should be absolutely certain of the copy they are going to use for any given project. Thirdly, ensuring they have vector files where extensive enlargements are required, and that images to be used are of an appropriate size and DPI for the project.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

After a 6 month hiatus to reassess the goals of iImagination, 2013 heralds the re-launch of iImagination. In order to better promote our services, we are offering Oneflare customers a $50 voucher that can be used for any projects with a value greater than $300. This is for artwork only and cannot be used on materials or to offset any printing costs or costs in relation to internet name registrations or hosting.

What makes your pricing competitive?

iImagination's pricing is competitive due to the ability to minimise overheads. The internet allows us to produce artwork from anywhere, and our choice is from a home office, drastically reducing operating costs.

How do you normally charge for your service?

iImagination has identified areas where packages for companies are more appropriate and therefore have a set price for certain products. Outside of these, we have a set hourly rate of $50 per hour (excl. GST).

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Although we are able to turn our hand to all facets of marketing communication, including internet, audio and video, our specialty would be advertising, magazines and most projects for a printing end purpose, especially where the manipulation of images in photoshop and illustrator are involved, and page make up in Indesign.
