How did you decide to get into your line of work?

In high school, my favourite subjects were Art, and Multimedia, which I got distinctions for.  From then on, I decided to focus on cracking into the creative industry.

One of my last projects was designing an app (which will take off once launched). I worked alongside the client, to make sure everything flowed, and it all looked modern. We worked long hours, but I loved the project, because I felt like I was part of something that will open a market in Australia.

What do you like most about your job?

I love that I get to create. I've always had an active imagination, and I've always been able to put myself in peoples' shoes.  I can visualise ideas, and put them to screen or paper. I can't see myself in any other career path.

The best question is: "When and what was the last project you worked on?"  From there, the customers can determine how skilled the professional is, by how much their services are in demand.

The most commonly answered questions are: "How long will it take, and how much will you charge"  For that, there has to be details sent through. From there, I can determine everything.

Someone who is an active listener, has a great sense of creativity, and has the skills to match.  Fortunately, I definitely have those skills.

I need to know what the design is, all the info, the context of the promotion, and the style you want incorporated.  From there, your design will happen quicker, and to your specifications.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Make sure to communicate every detail I need to know, because the more changes requested, the more design time I'll charge for.  Which is fair, because as it cuts into my schedule, I'll have to charge for the extra time worked for.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

What makes my pricing competitive, is that I don't charge through the nose. Where the big design firms will charge over $1000 for a logo, I will charge a fraction of that, but with the same high quality. I realise the budgets of business owners can be limited.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I charge based on the necessity of the design. For instance, a logo is the core of the business branding and imagery, so that would be the most expensive design. If the design was a limited print run, I'll charge less, considering the short run, and 3rd party print costs for the client.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I mainly specialise in event promotion design, creating branding for businesses, and event and scripted video production.  The clients I have worked for have mainly had me working on projects within these categories.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I am extremely familiar with Adobe CC, from Photoshop to Dreamweaver. My skills, cover a vast range of mediums, from digital design, to video production.  Even skills, such Motion Graphics, and web coding, I have covered.
