  Rodney and his team were very considerate and a pleasure to have around. Some of the work was high - 2nd story eaves and multi-paned metal-framed windows - and much fiddly - more windows and metal balcony and stair rails which required stripping, rust proofing, priming and painting. There were also several doors and door frames (ordinary and folding garage), downpipes and a couple of little interior touch-ups. I was shown the work at every stage so that I could see that it was being well done. I am very pleased with the result. Further, there is no sign of paint dribbling, no paint on the glass or anywhere else out-of-place. The work never stopped even when the temperature was nearly 40ºC and probably more in the sun. The clean-up was so exceptional that there is no sign that Rodney and his team have been here, except for the high quality of their work. If I am looking for painters again, I will know who to call.

• Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

  We have Public Liability Insurance with GIO. All our work is verbally guaranteed up to three years. We use Taubmans paint, which is guaranteed by Taubmans provided it is applied accordingly.

• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  I am a third generation painter. My father and his brothers were painters in Tasmania. My grandfather and his brothers were painters in Tasmania and were known for their painting of the famous Albert Hall in Launceston.
