Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are covered by Lawcover. Given the nature of legal work (and the uncertainty of outcomes particularly in litigation) we do not guarantee the result of our work. We do undertake to provide the best possible service to our customers.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Initially because I got the marks to do a combined law course at University. More importantly, I choose to stay in law because I help people achieve their goals or resolve their problems every day.

Any time I help a customer achieve their desired legal and/or commercial outcome is my favourite customer story. It is even better when I can do this quickly and efficiently.

I like helping people turn an idea into a successful business, whether it be through helping them structure that business correctly, assisting them to raise capital, protecting the ideas they have or working with them in early stage commercialisation. I enjoy the friendships I create with my clients

Q: Is it worth pursuing my matter legally? A: Only if the the potential benefit of pursuing the matter will outweigh the cost. Often it won't. Q: Do you have legal experience in this area? A: If the area is commercial, yes. We practice in a limited area of law but we are very good in that area.

We can only rely on the testimonies of our current and past customers to establish that we are trustworthy and reliable. We are the most trusted adviser to a number of our clients and are happy to provide testimonies on request.

I have over 15 years of legal experience but also over 10 years of commercial experience running my own businesses outside of law. I therefore has a level of practical experience that allows me to understand the needs of my commercial clients better than most other solicitors.

1. The ideal outcome that the customer is seeking. 2. A description of any other parties involved in the matter (ie: are they antagonistic, compliant, friendly). 3. Where the matter is adversarial, what attempts have been made to resolve the matter and what was the outcome of those attempts.

1. Collate all documents that they think are relevant in a chronological order. 2. Provide us with a timeline of the significant events in their matter. 3. Provide us with a one or two paragraph synopsis of their matter.

Our pricing is competitive because we get results. Value for money is much more important than pricing and we are efficient and successful at what we do.

Where the definition of work is specific, we prefer to agree on a fixed fee. Otherwise we charge an hourly rate with regular updates to clients as to fee level.

I specialise in setting up and structuring businesses, as well as the purchase and sale of businesses. I also do general transactional work such as contracts and general commercial legal advice.

I have over 15 years of commercial legal experience. I have also set up and run my own businesses in the areas of market research and IT. I understand what is required to operate a successful business and what clients want from their legal advisers.
