Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

We select from the best quality brands include Blum and Grass for drawer and hinges, Haffele for hardware, Kessebohmer for storage system, Laminex and Polytec for boards, CaesarStone, Quantum Quartz and Corian benchtop.  All items used are genuine by the manufacturer/supplier.  All cabinets are also structurally guaranteed.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always been inspired in area of design and building works, During my uni years, I was directed towards building and construction management rather than architecture.  I've always wanted to move work in an area where both skills can be equally appreciated.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

This would be a lady which I finished her second home last year.  I designed and built her kitchen, laundry, bar, bathroom vanities in the first house.  She was so happy that when she built her second home two years later, she was opened for new ideas and asked me to design the kitchen, laundry, bar, wine cellar, bathroom vanities, study and robes.  The outcome was incredible, she was so happy and whenever I was on site, she would introduce me to anyone on site, architect, builder, bank manager, all the tradesman.

What do you like most about your job?

I am passionate about creating a high quality designed and finished living space for my customers.  Whether it is a kitchen, laundry, bathroom, wardrobe or a home office.  I love to see people willing to explore various options when creating comfort and in their living space.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Accepted Answer

Can you include Electrician and Plumber?... and the answer is no, we are not allowed to include electrician, plumber or other trades.  Legally, the customer will need to deal with each trade separately, unless they are managed under a Registered Builder.  We have tradesman and Builders that we worked with in the past and I am happy to refer them.  How long does it take to start and finish the job?... and the answer would be depends on each job, a standard house kitchen would take 3 to 4 weeks to make and a couple of days to install.  But the stone benchtop might need to wait additional 2 weeks.  We can offer priority service to shorten the lead time to within a week, but this will subject to each project.  Then there are additional times for splashback, floor, painting and your other trades.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I would explain my process and stages of work upfront and keep customer updated on project.  I am also accessible and generally respond to any inquiry within the same day.  I collect payment by stage, normally via 3 to 4 stages.  I have been doing this for the past 6 years and most of my leads in the past year are via referral, so I guess I am reliable.

All of our cabinets are made in Australia  We usually only have a few jobs at any one time, so your project won't get lost or compromised from other jobs. This also means that we are readily available and able to quickly response from your inquiry and update on your progress.   We understand any investment in your home is important to you, so we want to make sure you get the best possible result, both visually and functionally. That is why we will come to your home and discuss your requirement and present the design concept to you on a computer aid drawing.   We select from the best quality brands include Blum and Grass for drawer and hinges, Haffele for hardware, Kessebohmer for storage system, Laminex and Polytec for boards, CaesarStone, Quantum Quartz and Corian benchtop.   We like to work in a neat and tidy environment so we do clean up afterwards, even to the smallest job.

I will be able to provide an estimate on pricing based on knowing the followings: 1.  What is required for the project 2.  The basic layout of the design 3.  The material to be used 4.  When it is required

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1.  Don't make any purchases especially on appliances or accessories before kitchen or bathroom is designed. 2.  Try to do your own coordination on different trades rather than hiring someone to project manage. 3.  Gather two to three quotes and compare them apple to apple then select the most comfortable one to work with.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I don't have a showroom on a prime location with a sales person waiting for someone to comes in, so I don't need to charge premium price for high overheads.  I only add on a reasonable margin for my work and products.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I normally charge by providing quote for items supplied.  My price are normally calculated based on the cost of my production or purchase plus a reasonable margin.

My passion is to design kitchens and living space for people who appreciate quality.  If there is a specialty that you can say I am more focused in doing kitchens, because that is most people seek for my service.

I am a member with the KBDI and HIA.  I have a building construction background and have been designing and building kitchens for domestic projects for the past 6 years.
