We received an SMS to arrange a mutually convenient time, and another SMS on the scheduled day to confirm the time. After discussing what was needed, Lachlan set to work! Our large yard now looks cared for again! Hedges shaped, lawns edged and mowed, and weeds sprayed. We have arranged a follow-up appointment to complete some of the more challenging aspects of the work, and organised a regular maintenance schedule to keep things looking good! Lachlan was friendly, hard-working, easy to do business with and a great communicator! We would definitely recommend Lachlan. Read moreMay 25, 2016

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
My flawless reviews speak for themselves. I'm always punctual, pleasant and provide a truly professional service. In short I treat each and every job I attend as if it were my own home. That's what you get from small business and in particular sole traders, ownership of work and pride in the result.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I formerly ran a landscaping business with a friend, was subcontracted to maintain council parks and land for many years and now contract to various real estates and government funded organisations while continuing to service many private homes throughout Brisbane.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I'm equally skilled in all aspects of outdoor maintenance but do particularly enjoy big clean ups and complete garden makeovers as seeing the end result is always a rewarding experience.
How do you normally charge for your service?
I prefer to always inspect the job first no matter how small and give a final price. This ensures there are no nasty surprises for either party by letting my customers know what it will cost before work commences. I usually give an hourly rate via this system though to give customers a rough idea.
What makes your pricing competitive?
I am a sole trader who keeps his overheads at a minimum so can offer very competitive prices. In this modern age where the bottom dollar is paramount it's clearly an important aspect of business although I still believe that quality of work prevails as the most important so price accordingly.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
A promise that I will always go out of my way to leave each and every customer satisfied due to my hard working ethos and respectful attitude.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
1. Always do your utmost to allow good access to the job.
2. Get things prepared for me to begin the task straight away.
3. In short the easier you make the job for me the less it will cost you.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Try to give as much information as possible. Size of property, precise description of tasks to be completed, any obstacles that will have to be overcome, etc. That being said I always inspect a job before giving a final price so the online quote is simply a guide.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I am insured with Broadform Liability (Public & Product) up to the sum of $5,000,000.
I guarantee my customers will always be left satisfied with any work I complete for them.
You need only look at my 20 plus all 5 star reviews for evidence of this.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
One word; Integrity. C.S. Lewis once said "Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching" and I embody this principle in everything I do as I want to feel good about my work. In these modern times of the online review if you don't do the right thing you're soon found out.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
I get asked a whole variety of questions as I perform a wide array of tasks but they're usually to do with what will look good in the garden or plant care. As each persons outdoor space is unique so is each answer.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Depending on the situation customers should ask about level of experience, availability and of course cost. If you do your own research into the job first it will ensure you correctly communicate what you want and more importantly allow you to ascertain how knowledgeable the service professional is.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy all aspects of it (apart from maybe the paperwork lol) interacting and building rapport with people, using my skills to perform the physical tasks, the satisfaction I get from the end result and most of all the rewarding feeling of praise from impressed and satisfied customers.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
There are too many to mention and not enough words allowed here to do so lol no I value and enjoy the time spent with each and every one of my customers.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I had been doing similar work for others for many years and felt it was time to take the leap of faith and give it a go myself. It's a lot of work running a business but far more rewarding than working for someone else so definitely worth it in my opinion.
