Red Ripple Design has relevant business insurance. Design work is not really something that can be guaranteed, however I pride my work being of a professionally high standard.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Q. How much does a logo cost? A. My standard package is 3 design concepts, with 1  finalised design. Price: $950  Q. How long will it take to design my logo? A. This depends on my current workload, the decision making process at your end (do you have to present designs to a Board/committee?), and rounds of design revisions. Often these processes can take a few weeks.

I am a person of integrity and honesty and will always communicate with you regarding what I can and cannot achieve. I have reliable sub-contracted staff that I partner with for specialized aspects of projects.

When you hire Jacquie Sprott of Red Ripple Design you will be working directly with the business owner/designer. No communication via sales reps. I have a decade of graphic design experience and have been a teacher of design students at UniSA.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The scope of the work, your timeline for completion, print quantities and paper to be used, your expectations about meetings (Am I coming to you? Do you prefer lots of face - to -face contact during a project or are you comfortable with email and phone contact?)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Three ways to save money: 1/ Have your written copy ready to go - typed in a Word document with minimal formatting, edited, and finalised. 2/ Spend some time looking at logos/publications/websites of your competitors - to see what they are offering and how they communicate to their target audience.  3/ Come with ideas, but don't set them in concrete. After all you're wanting the input of a professional designer for a reason.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

I am able to offer reasonably priced services as my overheads are low - being a sole trader. I am able to source competitive print quotes due to my long relationship with a number of printers both locally and interstate.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Some projects are able to be charged according to a quote. My charges are based on hourly rates for design time, typesetting and administration. A deposit may be required - particularly for projects with a longer time frame. Printing costs need to be paid prior to the job going to the printer.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I particularly love designing for printed material...magazine layouts, manuals, brochures, posters, stationary, etc. I also enjoy producing web designs and professional Power Point slide designs. I do a lot of small business start ups - working with you to create a visual identity for your business. ie logo, signage, stationary, etc

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

With 10 years experience in the design field, a Bachelor of Visual Communication, previous studies in fine art, 8 years working as a sole trader, and as a part-time teacher of Visual Communication students, I bring a depth of experience and knowledge to your project.
