Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

We have valid certificate of currencies for all Workers Compensation and Public liability insurances.  $10 000 000 for Public Liability.  We also have Safe Work Method Statements in place for each individual job we start. Copies of all the above insurances and SWMS can be provided.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a child i was always facinated with construction work. The machines, the noise and how many people would stop and stare. As i grew older i wanted to be part of it. I finished year twelve and a few months afterwards i was asked to help a relative with his buisness working as a  brickies labourer. I wanted out quick smart!!  Started laying bricks, found it interesting so i decided it was not enough so i needed to go back to the drawing board, pardon the pun! and complete my builders licence.

Having customers recommending us to other people once we have completed the Project. In our industry it is very important to maintain a good reputation.  Once completing the project standing back and knowing that it will be there for many years to come and that we built it.

Before hiring some one to build you ANY brick walls, you should always do a back ground check on what they have Built before. Always!  Never assume that it will be o k !  You must remember that once a wall has been built it can not be adjusted without it becoming very expensive and messy consuming your time and patience.

People always want to know how long is it going to take? The simple answer to that is how organized is the site and we can tell you! How bricks are there to the square metre 50?  Well that used to be the case but these days bricks come in many different sizes and once we know the project we know the answer.

We require the following information for us to quote:  Drawings. Floor plans, elevations and engineering.  Specifications.  what is the access like?,  Is there any Power or Water available?,  Is there Toilet available

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Here are 3 tips to save you Money;  Make sure you have made it clear of what your requirements are for the job and that we have a clear understanding of what your requirements are too.  Provide as many plans you have and specifications regarding the project. Making sure that your plans are as clear as possible.   Shop around Different brick companies. They all can make copies of certain bricks that some architecks propose.  The pricing between different bricks is very surprising, and we all hate surprises!

What makes your pricing competitive?

We do not have huge overheads with office space and storage hire. We own all our plant and equipment including scaffold. We have good relationships with our suppliers.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We can provide a lump sum price on labour or labour and material. Any job with less than 10000 bricks per floor we usually provide a hourly rate. Any job with less than 500 concrete blocks we usually provide a hourly rate.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We are Masonry specialists.  We work with everything that is masonry construction! From full brick construction including the insulation of foil board, to your local front fence. We can build then core fill your concrete retaining walls saving you time hiring steel fixer, concreter carpenter we can do the lot!

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

As the Qualified supervisor of the company i have a Builders Licence 102763c which was obtained with the NSW Department of Fair Trading allowing me to work all over Australia. Previously i had a Bricklayer licence 241827c obtained with the NSW Department of fair trading.  We understand what is required to help you save money and time to get the job done. We have a team that has been working together and are happy for over 12 years. The last thing you want is a team of grumpy hard to talk to tradesman.
