We are experts in franchise law and have an additional focus on intellectual property law. We act for a number of Franchisors with franchised outlets across Australia and interests internationally. If you are an established Business owner and considering strategies to grow your Business, we can assist you to use franchising for Business growth. We also represent a number of clients as Franchisees, assisting them with the acquisition or sale of their franchised businesses.
How do you normally charge for your service?
We endeavour to charge on a fixed fee basis wherever possible. Depending on the particular matter, we may charge a combination of time-costed work and fixed fees or just time-costed, but we inform our clients early in the matter of our costing method and estimated fees.
What makes your pricing competitive?
As we are not city based, we do not incur the same level of costs that larger city firms experience. This allows us more flexibility to offer reduced fees and compete with larger firms. And because we adopt a fixed fee pricing model, clients obtain more certainty on costs early in their matter.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
To assist us in providing a costs estimate, it helps us if: (a) we know the type of matter (b) you can provide us with supporting documents or other related communications (c) if it is a business matter, what structure the Business operates through.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We are members of the Queensland Law Society and fully insured through Lexon Insurance. The consumer guarantees under legislation apply to our legal services.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
Our lawyers pride themselves on being approachable and providing professional legal services. We are always open to discuss any issues of concern that may be raised by our clients and seek to resolve those concerns as amicably as possible.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
As a broad based legal practice, the types of questions we receive vary and really depend on the nature of the matter. There are no common questions in that sense. Each matter is considered on its own merits.

We enjoy assisting our clients to resolve questions and problems, whether complex or minor, that arise and help clients achieve their particular goals.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
In a dispute between a Franchisor and Franchisee, we were able to assist the Franchisee to obtain a surrender of their Franchise Agreement and to continue trading on their own behalf. This avoided significant litigation costs and maintained our client's business as a going concern.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
The Principal of Greyson Legal is an experienced lawyer having provided legal services for 20 years. The decision to be a lawyer is based primarily on the idea of providing people with accurate information so they can avoid unnecessary risks which could adversely impact their lives.
