Wilton Carpentry has a current Public Liability insurance policy. Details of the policy can be provided on request.  All building works undertaken are fully guaranteed. Clients are also covered under the qbcc licence held by the business.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started a carpentry apprenticeship at the age of 17 in 1992.  a good friend from school was serving an apprenticeship at the time. Hearing about his experiences gave me the drive to leave the job I had and start the process of becoming a qualified carpenter.

My career as a carpenter has had countless great experiences. Working a physical job, both inside and out, working in different locations regularly and meeting new people through my job are some of the things I enjoy about my job.

I have been continuously employed as a carpenter since the age of 17. my knowledge of the building industry is of a very high level. having an understanding of the importance of supplying good customer service has been essential for me in continually operating a successful business over the years.

A clear understanding of the work required, between myself and the client is the most important requirement for me to be able to supply an accurate quote.

1 - If you require a structure that needs council approval. Have an approved plan available to allow for accurate quotation.   2- Clear the work area of all personal belongings before your preferred contractor arrives to start the planned work.   3- make sure all relevant information about the project has been supplied to the tradespeople who are supplying the services.

Most of the work I undertake has been quoted and a fixed price has been agreed apon.  An hourly rate can also be given for smaller projects such as maintenance work
