Brace the railing which is currently bolted to the stair stringer. 2. Dismantle the stairs, retaining all bolts and hex screws for reuse. Build: 1. Accurately notch out 20 stair tread slots using a router (5-20mm bits required). 2. Cut the stringers to match the previous stringers. 3. Cut the treads. 4. Paint open cuts with primer for protection (owner to do most painting). 4. Assemble the stairs and place into position. Bolt to deck and re-bolt the railings to the stringers. Supply: - Nothing. ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED BY OWNER. OWNER WILL PERFORM PAINTING. 2. Roof extension --------------------------- Prep: 1. Remove 5x 5m corrugated iron sheets. Requires the removal of the drip edge. All pieces will be reused. 2. Remove 2.5m guttering. Will NOT be reused. 3. Remove 3m facia boards. Will be reused. 4. Remove 3m x 0.4m fibre cement and trims. Will be reused. Build: 1. Extend rafters by 1.2m using materials supplied by owner. 2. Nail back facia. 3. Add corrugated iron extensions and over lap the old corrugated iron. 4. Put back drip edge. 5. Add new exterior beam and post. These need to be routed to match existing. Small 45 degree bit required. 6. Put back old fibre cement and new fibre cement sheet (4.5mm x 3m x 1.2m). Supply: - 1x beam H3/H4 140mm x 65mm x 3m (dressed or near-dressed timber) - 1x post H3/H4 88mm square x 3m https://www.bunnings.com.au/88-x-88mm-3-0m-post-f7-h4-treated-pine-premium-kd_p8423175 or equivalent - 2x quarter round H3 moulding https://www.bunnings.com.au/23-x-23mm-5-4m-moulding-h3-treated-pine-fj-primed-quad-losp_p8470498 or equivalent ALL OTHER MATERIALS SUPPLIED BY OWNER. Job Description: I need the cutout of the roof in the photos extended as per the lines in the attached photos so that the guttering can run straight to the side of the house. The current location of the downpipe is causing flooding in the house during heavy rains. Extending the roof allows me to direct water to the side of the house and prevent flooding. The roof is corrugated iron. The area being constructed is 2.5m x 1.2m. Battens are 140mm. The underside is 4.5mm fibre cement panelling. The dress timber will be reused. I have sufficient timber and other materials to extend the battens by 1200mm and am planning bolt extensions onto them. I'll pay for any materials that I may have missed.
