Yes, we are insured + offer home builders warranty insurance for contracted jobs over 20k including GST. We also hold general public liability insurance + workers compensation for our team.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

We moved into building after years of buying investments + holding/flipping them. There is not one component of a job from plastering, rendering, decks, steel beam welding + install right through to making stairs we have not done.

Only our previous clients can really answer this question. We are perhaps too honest with how much a job will realistically be where as others underquote to get the work + add back charges later.

Quite often people have basic design/layout ideas but have not finalised their finishes to be used. These details are really important for an accurate quote; for example - what size tiles, type of tile as some materials/finishes take longer to prepare for/install.

Be clear on what you are trying to achieve. Don't rush the planning phase as it will cost more for changes later. Consult a builder before finalising your plans/DA as they often have different + highly practical suggestions that can save you money + stress down the track.

Our background is investment properties + flips, so we have a list of quality cost effective suppliers + trades. We do not compromise on quality, but work with the client to ensure they are reaching their goals depending on the property long/short term plans.

Our preference is a cost plus arrangement; this allows us to make recommendations along the project (rather than having it all firmly locked in from the start) + pass on savings to a client in time + materials along the way.

Being in the inner west, we tend to specialise in federation restoration + renovations; bringing old back to new+ blending old with new in extensions + remedial work.
