  Absolutely do not recommend. My husband and I were ghosted by Jake back in 2023 and still have not received any resolution/assistance. I have seen Jake's business posts resurface in the local area over recent months which is concerning. For context, my husband and I dealt with Jake's family business several times (Eco Clean Air) between 2019-2023 for general air conditioning installation and cleaning. Ross was fantastic and we did not have any issues until early 2023 when we reached out to Ross due to an issue with one of our split cycle units. Ross and Jake came out and confirmed that the issue was a faulty compressor and that this was covered by warranty. It was confirmed that they would source an alternative part or assist with replacing the unit if needed. Things went back and forth with no resolution until the business was handed over to Jake in April 203 and rebranded to 1st Choice Electrical and Air. From there onwards, Jake was incredibly unreliable and virtually impossible to contact. On the 29th May 2023, Jake apologised for being absent and confirmed that he would give us a call the following day to arrange a time to come over. As we still hadn't heard anything by the 1st June 2023, I contacted Jake again and he said he was unable to come by that day but would arrange for someone to visit the following day. Still nothing - no visit from anyone and no follow-up correspondence. On the 8th June 2023, I attempted to follow up with Jake again with no luck. On the 13th June, I attempted to follow up yet again with no returns calls/correspondence. On the 15th June 2023, Jake texted me and said he would pop by later that day to collect part numbers to start the replacement process. I left work early to meet Jake only to have him not show up and not attempt to contact me via phone, text or email. That was the last I ever heard from Jake despite several attempts over the following weeks. Shortly afterwards, we paid for a different company to diagnose/troubleshoot our issue and they confirmed that the issue was an installation fault and should have been covered by Jake. We were advised that if Jake was unable to assist, he was legally obliged to contract a technician to complete the repairs on his behalf. We were left heavily out of pocket to repair an issue that we were not at fault for and felt as though we were cheated for attempting to continue to support a small business. 2+ years later and still nothing. I would avoid this business at all costs.

  The team at 1st choice was amazing. Professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I had a 2.5 kw aircon installed and couldn’t have asked for better job. They left my place tidy, turned up on time and did a great job over all. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again guys

  We recently had 3 split systems installed by 1st Choice Electrical & Air and couldn’t be happier with the service. Jake and his team turned up 15 minutes early (a rare find these days!) and completed all three installs plus an upgrade to our switchboard with absolute professionalism. Out of four quotes we received, 1st Choice not only gave us the most competitive price on the units but also came in much better on the switchboard work compared to the others. They were the last company we contacted but the first to come back with a thorough, clear breakdown of costs and options, which gave us complete confidence. The job was done quickly, cleanly, and with great attention to detail. Highly recommend Jake and the team at 1st Choice Electrical & Air for anyone needing electrical or air conditioning installs, you’ll be in good hands.
