Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
We are a local business that relies on word of mouth so we are focused on quality and guarantee our workmanship.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
Our team is fully insured and have licences and tickets to operate our machines. We have 10 years experience delivering driveways and landscaping projects in the Perth hills and rural and lifestyle properties. We willingly share our ideas and tips with our customers to help them get the right resul
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
We specialise in constructing rural driveways and access tracks. We can lay any materials be it crushed limestone, compacted gravel, road base, recycled bitumen, asphalt or concrete. Snad pads for sheds, houses and tanks are something we do a lot of as well as landscaping, rock pitching, limestone.
How do you normally charge for your service?
We inspect the job and provide free quotes. We can provide firm pricing or rates for smaller or difficult tasks like rock breaking.
What makes your pricing competitive?
We are not always the cheapest because we quote on doing things properly. Our soils, sands, gravels and mulches are good quality and we apply them to an agreed compacted depth. We are skilled operators and work fast and safely.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
We often do supply only materials allowing our customers to save money and do some of the work themselves. We always work with our clients to keep our work within budget and we have great ideas on alternatives and recycled products which save money.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Tip 1: Allow us to look at your job early and understand your ideas. This way we can plan the in ground works in advance saving later excavations.
Tip 2: Consider recycled materials, sands, soils and mulches. You can save big money this way and its great for the environment.
Tip 3: Go local
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
We need to know the address, where the in ground services are such as power, water, septics, telstra, retic etc. We will come to your site and measure up the works and estimate quantities.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
We are fully insured for public liability, professional liability, plant and equipment. Each of us are licenced and ticketed operators of the plant and equipment we use.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
If we are not reliable and honest with our customers we wont get invited back for future work. We do what we say we are going to do and keep our clients informed at each step. Therefore there are no surprises. Plus we are local and rely on our community for work.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
We get asked about the differences between different materials. It comes down to the application and the budget. Asphalt for a rural property might look nice but recycled bitumen laid properly will look nice at 2/3 the price and is more suited to the longer drives and hardstand parking areas.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
1. Are you local?
2. how thick will my driveway be?
3. how do your bind and compact your driveway?
4. do you guarantee your work and come back if i have any concerns?
What do you like most about your job?
We love working on the fringe of suburbia with rural and lifestyle property owners. We get a kick out of constructing landscapes and hardscapes that look good, add value to the property but most of all are practical.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
We work with a lot of equestrian properties and horse owners are committed to their horses welfare. We do lots of little jobs for these customers and get asked back regularly. Whether it mucking out stables, levelling an arena, supplying sand for enclosures or drainage to keep the ground dry.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
We live on the land as well. We have fences that need fixing and long rural driveways and spoon drains that need clearing . We love helping out people with the things we are good at doing and make life easier with some of our machinery.
