  CBS carried out a full renovation of my flat in Hawthorn. All appears well until in a few months mould appeared on the bathroom ceiling. As is turns out, CBS did not use bathroom (i.e. mould resistant paint) in the bathroom - they used living room paint. I would expect a builder to use appropriate materials and products in a renovation it has scoped. To not use bathroom specific paint in a bathroom is a fundamental failure. CBS have refused to fix this defect of its making. Due to this mould I have lost a tenant and rental income, I also have the additonal expense of cleaning off the mould, repairing the ceiling and repainting with 2 coats of bathroom paint.
