With the majority of work being local and finding its way to me by word of mouth I feel a strong obligation to provide a friendly, prompt and professional service, my business was initially established in the Barossa Valley so I bring with me an old but not lost local amiable feel that I feel sets me apart from the rest.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I don't like to be 'hired over another provider' as such because most gardeners I've met provide a good but sometimes limited service. I have over 10 yrs experience as an arborist and provide my regular clients with this added service. I have a passion for the perfect lawn and can provide diagnosis, repair, installation of turf and irrigation systems. My years of experience have given me a strong understanding of 'what the customer wants' and with a wide array of commercial grade equipment can achieve the desired outcome quickly and efficiently.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Is it a basic service or are there any special requirements, if so these will need to be discussed prior in case of any extra equipment needed to complete the task and ensure customer satisfaction.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Pick up/clear area of toys, trampolines etc otherwise we can do it but it all takes time. 2. Pick up after your dog/s. Every turd flying off the machine costs ya $2. Every one flying at me is $5. 3. Good access saves time whether it's machines coming in or green waste going out.

Low overheads and no royalty payments allows my pricing to be extremely competitive especially with the wide array of services, machines and experience I have to offer.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Hourly rate or quote whichever the customer prefers. I've found an hourly rate allows the flexibility for extra customer requests if need be and there's never any worries as to the amount of work that gets done within timeframes.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Lawn care and installation is our main focus. We have all the tools from install to maintenance whether it be dethatching, scarifying, aerating mulch mowing or that bowling green cut we can help.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have over 10yrs as an arborist working in the tree industry as well as TAFE accredited viticulture training. I have recently extended my knowledge to include all facets of lawn and irrigation care, repair and installation.
