• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  I grew into it back when Pearcedale was native bushland, my grandmother gave me flora and fauna identification walks everyday. In those times native grasses and shrubs, echidnas, koalas, goannas, snakes, owls and bandicoots lived there and the passing swagman wasn't uncommon. I loved nature and still do.

• Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

  Northern beaches Cairns, a Sydney retiree bought one of 'my' resorts that I had looked after weekly for the previous owners. She went into shock about me hedging the flowers off her Hibiscus row and sent me away, refusing to pay and saying she would do it herself. Three weeks later, priceless, "Her garden is growing too fast, there are palm fronds everywhere and the lawn is 8 inches high, please come back".
