Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes we are insured; we hold public liability insurance, work cover for our workers & all our workers are licenced to carry out their associated tasks.  All materials we used will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. We guarantee all our work different jobs come with different guarantees, when we quote your job we will let you know the warranty period on all works carried out, the materials & give you the customer all associated paper work & certificates.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

For our senior Electrician, who is also the director of the company, his Dad was an electrician & he decided to follow in his footsteps, as was his Grandfather before him.

Every year we donate our services to our chosen charity to help out a family or senior citizen that may be doing it tough, it is nice to know that we can make a little bit of a difference through our work for a job that would not have been done due to financial constraints or other reasons. Recently we had parents ring us who’s children were getting married & their wedding gift to them was to be done whilst they were on their honeymoon; weren’t the young couple astonished when they came home & they had solar panels on their roof, LED lighting throughout their house, all stylish modern & energy saving installs done bu the team at GoGreen electrical solutions.

What do you like most about your job?

As an Electrician, I like to work with my hands & not be confined to a desk all day. I like the freedom it provides as I am not working at the same place every day. I like the technical aspect of my job, & the problem solving it can require sometimes.  I like seeing the happy faces on my customers when they are happy with the work I have done, especially the young children once their antennas are working properly & they can watch TV again. Renee our office manager, who is a first point of contact & who you will most likely speak to is very bright & enjoys talking to people, she has been enjoying learning all the aspects of this business, & is quite knowledgeable on all things electrical. With green technology here it is very exciting to be able to help people save on their rising power bills, but also know that with every house we help with energy saving installs, we are in some small way helping the environment & the future for next generations to come.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

•Are you licenced & through what state & what governing body (we are licenced through NSW department of fair trading) •Do you have insurance (ask them to provide proof to you) •Are you certified by the CEC (clean energy council) to install solar panels •Make sure the business has a valid ABN & are a registered Australian business •And if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Ask your contractors about the materials they are using if that have warranties; beware of fake imports from overseas. •Make sure you can communicate with your contractor so you are both clear & what works needs to happen  •Ensure they are easily contactable •Beware of cheap Labour, you have to question how they can do it so cheaply, & what is the cost to you?

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

We get allot of questions pertaining to the burning out of lights quickly, this can be caused to poor quality materials heating the transformer & making the globe blow, halogen globes are old technology & we prefer not to use them if we can we recommend using LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting, it has a life span of well over 10 years, it is a cool light so it is less of a fire hazard as its predecessor the halogen down lights. We have further information on our website about the advantage of LED lighting, but it’s biggest advantage is that it will save you lots of money as the can run on as little as 2 watts per hour & are a brighter light than the current energy saving globes on the market, which run at a rate of 15 watts per hour, so they are a big money saver & best of all they are safe.

At GoGreen Electrical Solutions we are in the business of being the solution to your electrical needs, if we are unable to do that we would go broke. We pride ourselves on communication, & if we have been held up at another job our office manager Renee will be in touch with you, but as this rarely happens our day is organised to fit in our jobs & us arriving on time & fully equipped is crucial to this occurring, when we turn up we are in a marked van carrying our logo & information, so you know it’s GoGreen Electrical Solutions, our staff are fully uniformed & our office manager Renee will inform you who will be attending your job the day before & run through all works to be completed so as both parties are clear on what needs to happen, what we need to bring & the time frame the job should run for.  At GoGreen Electrical solutions we understand that time is money & we like to do our work quickly but effectively, as we understand that you the customer will also need to get on with your day.

•	We use well known brands, that have been stringently tested to ensure their reliability, to reduce waste & the most important the safety of our customers. All too often we come in & fix up work from ‘cheap’ electricians, who use poor materials, which in some cases has resulted in damages done to properties.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Some quotes can be done using Google Earth, & all we will need is your address.  However, most quotes will be need to done at the site where work is required. As we will need to inspect the area, work out what materials are required for the job & to talk with the customer to assess what needs to be done.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

For smaller jobs where an hourly rate is charged please: •	Have the area free of mess & clutter •	Please lock away pets for the safety of our staff & also for their safety as electricity can be a hazard •	If the customer is supplying materials please have them ready with the manufacturers specifications, & if possible if we can have the manufacturers specifications before a job, that will make it even quicker

Here at GoGreen electrical we keep up to date with all Government rebates currently available to you the customer to help reduce the costing’s on some jobs to which it is available to. We also like to care for the elders in our community & we do this by offering those with a valid seniors card or DVA card a discount on all works done by GoGreen Electrical solutions.

How do you normally charge for your service?

As we specialise in many different fields we have no set price as no two jobs are the same, what we do is we come to your place talk to you about what you want, what materials are required, inspect the possible work site & evaluate the price from there. We also offer special discounts to Senior Citizens, with the senior’s cards & card holders of the department of Veterans affairs. At GoGreen electrical solutions we like to be competitive & if you receive a cheaper written quote using the same materials we will try to match that for you.
