Accepted Answer

Yes I am an Insured Business and I do guarantee my work providing it is based on existing structures that are built to Australian Standards.  If I can not guarantee my work I will tell you before I start the project.

Will the person doing the quote be the same person doing the job? If not, how do you know you will get exactly what you are asking for? I do the quote and I do the job so you always get exactly what you asked for.

Accepted Answer

Question:  Why couldn't I find out about you sooner? Answer: I don't usually have to look for more work as I am usually kept busy with my selected clients. I usually only work by referal.  Question: How did you do that so quickly? Answer: I don't have time to mess around. Too much other work to do.  Question: Are you sure that's all the bill it is for all that work? Answer:  Yes that's the advantage of paying someone by the hour that doesn't smoke.  But you can give me more if you really want to!!

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I always endeavour to be reliable and if for some reason I cannot keep an appointment or time frame I will let you know in advance. As for being trustworthy I can tell you I am but you will have to meet me and decide that for yourself. All of my existing clients employ me because I am trustworthy and do a good job.

The best way to save money before I start work is to : Make a list of jobs you want completed. Make a list of questions you want to ask. Have a good idea of what you want to achieve in the future as well. Remove as much clutter from the work area as possible.

What makes your pricing competitive?

My pricing is competitive as you only have to pay once to get a good job done. If you accept a low cost quote you usually get a low quality job. My regular clients are happy to wait for me to get to them as they know my work is worth waiting for. My new clients take priority whenever possible.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I prefer to charge by the hour but am happy to also give an estimate of how long it will take to complete the works plus materials costs. It is easier for me as I work over so many different areas and it is more cost effective for you as you do not haye to involve as many different trades in the project.

I specialise in giving my honest opinion as to how a job should be approached and completed. If a job is worth doing it's worth doing correctly the first time otherwise it is a waste of your money and my time.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I am a TAFE qualified handyman with over 25 years experience. I am also a trained Industrial Arts High School teacher so I have a vast range of experiences and knowledge. I hold Test & Tag Certification. I have SPASA Certification.
