What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Are they a registered builder? All building works over $5,000 by law should have a "Building Contract" and building works over $12,000 should have "Home Warranty Insurance".  Only registered builders should be performing works over $5,000. Can they provide references? Do they have the appropriate Construction & Liability Insurance?

We are honest and reliable, working in the same local area for over 25 years. We use honest and reliabile tradespeople whom we have been using for several years. We have a very good reputation with our clients.

We are a highly professional business. We take pride in our workmanship and receive great satisfaction from transforming our clients' dreams into reality. We have good interpersonal skills which is very important for the work we are doing as we are working in our clients homes on a day to day basis.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We are very thorough when we work out our quotes for jobs. We always have site visits and talk to the potential customers about their requirements and expectations. For jobs that require plans and permits we go over the plans thoroughly working out the different components that make up the final quote.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We normally would provide an extensive, written quote to the customer. If the customer accepts the quote and the job is over $5000 we would then provide a building contract to the customer which would outline the progress payments required. Any building works over $5000 requires a major building contract by law. For some jobs under $5000 depending on the value we would provide a small works contract which would outline the progress payments.  For any small jobs the customer would be advised of the payments required.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Accepted Answer

We are registered builders so can carry out all domestic building jobs including new houses.  We do a lot of work in the following areas - extensions/renovations, pool houses, decks, garages, pergolas, kitchen and bathroom renovations.

Over 25 years in the building industry, a fully qualified carpenter, and Registered Domestic Builder in the Category of "Unlimited" which means we can build new houses, do extensions, renovations, decks, garages, carports, pool houses, verandahs and repairs.
