  I wanted him to clean out the bottom of an emptied above ground pool There was confusion with what he charged he asked for 300$ upfront. Then I had to chase him he did not respond to calls. I figured he had escaped with my money eventually he turned up with a nice big offsider who did all the work. He demanded another $400 cash. I told my husband no.p don’t give it to him it’s too much He then became threatening and said he would put all leaves back in pool. A friend told me to call the police He then wanted another $600 to cut a few branches above the pool Plus $50 for a net which was slung above the pool. pretty useless. They never came to job before 2 pr 3 pm. A total of 15 hours was spent on job. That equates to $86 per hour for a labourers job. Labourers get $20 per hour and a pool technician gets $22 per hour I was terrified of him and was hiding in my room when he came He put a ladder in the above ground pool to cut the few branches. Swaggering around with a home made panga Now the pool is leaking. He said he would fix a leak. Above ground pools have plastic lining I’m still suffering financially from this exercise and every day water in pool is escaping. So we have to refill it. Water is not cheap! He also fixed the decking before this job Not a very good job But safer than it was before 1400$. Cash up front. Chasing him to finish job Joined bits of timber in one corner instead of having a complete length of plank.

  responded quickly to the ad but then was 6 hours late to quote, then wanted $500 cash upfront for materials to start the next morning,.. disappeared once we had given him the cash and would not return calls/texts the next day so we were very worried. finally arrived without notice 1/2 day late to do the job without some of required materials so had to keep leaving to get more materials and saying things were not included when they had been included in the quote. job was done by an employee of Andy who worked hard but it was a total rollercoaster ride...
