  He is dishonest and a thief. I would advise to never hire him. I paid him in good faith and because he harassed me to pay in advance more than a month later and promising to complete the work I have nothing to show but many thousands out of pocket and many more thousands to get someone else to finish what I have already paid. Time for legal action to start.

  I engaged Neil for a $4,800 deck project that included the deck, step, built-in bench, and lighting. I paid $3,600 in good faith based on agreed progress and repeated assurances the work would be completed. Only part of the deck structure was done, and key items were left unfinished. Over more than a month, there were multiple confirmed appointments where he did not show up, along with long periods of no response to messages. Despite several promises to return and complete the job, this did not happen. Due to the ongoing delays and lack of follow-through, I had to terminate the arrangement and seek help through formal channels. My experience was very disappointing and I would not recommend based on reliability, professionalism and completion of agreed work.
