We are fully insured with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.  We guarantee we wont miss a visible major structural defect.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

We got into this industry due to always being asked by friends and friends of friends to have a look at a home they were buying.  It is a very interesting industry and we are proud of the fact we help numerous people with such a large decision.

We have many.  We find our clients saying they attended the house during an open for inspection time slot and believe everything is fine and the house looks in good order - once we have been through it and under it some clients are astonished at the defects present that they did not see.

Are you a qualified Building Inspector - Diploma of Building Surveying is the only  qualification recognisedby the Victorian Building Authority.  Some have just done a two day course and say they a qualified or accredited "house inspectors" but this is not recognised by the building authority.

Are you qualified? - We are one of only three companies in Melbourne doing pre-purchase building inspections that is a qualified Building Inspector recognised by the Victorian Building Authority.  In Victoria the pre-purchase inspection industry is not regulated and anyone can do them without having to be qualified. Fortunately we are actual qualified building inspectors trained to detect defects caused by poor workmanship, builders faults and omissions.

We are qualified, we have been doing inspections since 2004, we have never been sued and we are knowledgeable.  We are used by 5 of Melbourne's larges Buyers Advocacy companies to assist their clients purchase a home, testament to our experience and knowledge.

In Victoria, the pre-purchase house inspection industry is not regulated by any governing body, therefore anyone can carry out these types of inspections without any qualifications or experience.  Safehome's Building Inspectors have completed diplomas in Building Surveying, therefore qualifying them as Building Inspectors recognised by the Victorian Building Authority. You can feel comfortable that we are qualified, trained, insured and experienced Building Inspectors, being in the industry since 2004.

Safehome's fee structure is comparable with other qualified building inspectors but slightly above the fees offered by unqualified house inspection services in Melbourne.  We accept credit cards or internet banking.
