Location: Charlestown, NSWJob Description: We are looking to hire a gardening service to provide ongoing maintenance. There are only two small lawns: the footpath at the front and a small area at the back. This is a standard suburb property, but the garden is substantial. There are tiered garden beds at the front, along both sides, and at the back. The garden beds are behind masonry walls. There is an existing irrigation system. The previous gardener has retired, and the garden is due for a substantial makeover. This will include: *reworking some areas of the garden, removing plants that are not fit-for-purpose, repositioning existing plants where possible and introducing new ones *pruning, weeding, topsoiling, and fertilizing the garden beds *adding new woodchip as necessary *cleaning mould from the masonry walls *giving feedback on a proposed planting plan and offering advice on plant choice and planting position *helping with plant purchases as necessary *helping to dispose of surplus and unwanted plants *cleaning spider webs off the fences *adjusting the irrigation system as necessary *adding garden structures as necessary (e.g., support screens and planter boxes) We hope to get this initial makeover done before Christmas, although we can be flexible.
