How did you decide to get into your line of work?

During High School and whilst studying Architecture at University of South Australia, I realised a passion for illustration, creativity and presentation. The built environment wasn't for me so I added a Degree in Visual Communication to my education, majoring in Graphic Design.

Being able to assist small businesses compete with larger competitors by designing and building website that actually work. Websites that persuade prospect, increase leads and improve sales margins.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Instead of asking for an end product—for example a logo or brochure for a new venture—you should instead suggest what you want to achieve: an increase in sales, capture a new market, increase your market share or perhaps diversify your offering.  What this does is leaves the door wide open for us to find out more about the business venture and discuss the most effective solution. We may discover that a well targeted direct mail campaign will require a smaller investment and help get the new venture off the ground faster.

The most commonly asked question I am asked by clients is "will investment in my website pay for itself?". To which m usual response is "It will pay for itself every 6 months!"

We are generally less expensive than hiring a big ad agency, marketing or design firm. Having a design firm doing your marketing on an as needs basis is also a great way of avoiding the significant overhead of hiring your own internal marketing team.
