  • Carpenter for pergola Job oui-icon-check-selected Verified

I would like a quote for the complete construction and permitting, of an 8.275 metre by 4.110 metre Pergola/Verandah or whatever is closest to those measurements, "under those measurements", to effect any substantial savings through the use of standard lengths and widths of the materials involved. The construction can be of the cheapest materials be that timber or metal, but will most likely require a colour bond roof, due to local restrictions applying to flight paths, i.e. Zinc or galvanised roofing isn't permitted as it can blind pilots if the sun strikes as they're passing. I will also require a privacy curtain along the 8.275 metre front of the construction, which can be attached to the posts. The curtain needs to drop approx 1.500 metre's to provide the privacy required. Corrugated colour bond will be fine for the curtain, as I'm not into pretty, just practical. The ground is level save for a slight fall over the 8.275 length of approx 140mm. Access is through a small one car garage. The construction will be immediately behind the rear opening of the one car garage, running alongside the house to it's rear, and will be attached to the existing fascia, to form the pergola/verandah. Stump holes and stirrups will be required for the posts as the width will see the posts in what is currently a garden. The area is mainly covered in concrete which will not impede the construction in any way. The builder will need to ensure he is covered for any damages or injuries as I do not have any such cover here. Basically, the job is at the risk of all who choose to involve themselves. This is a private home and a one off job, I am a retiree. For any further details, please contact me on the number supplied.
