yes i'm insured with imar and guarantee my work. i've very rarely got a complaint though, and when i have i've been back to fix it, never usually 1-2hrs to fix.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

i was brought up working in this industry from an early age (theres even family videos of me trimming bushes with a pair of scissors when i was 5 years old). my grandfather and uncle used to get me to work in the garden with them on the weekends and i naturally developed a passion for landscaping and gardening

not so much a customer story but, i worked for a landscape architect for about 6 years and learnt a great deal from that experience. working mainly on high end residential properties around the northern beaches, north shore and eastern suburbs.

Question: what do you charge? answer: $40 per hour standard rate regardless of the type of work involved. there are additional costs but will be discussed on a per job basis i.e. rubbish removal, mulching etc.

i feel i give a good quality service for a fair price. being in the industry for so long i know what people charge and what the quality of work provided is like.

email address, phone number, photos can help, meeting on site to discuss works involved. a list of specific tasks they want completed.  if you have previously had your garden designed a copy of the plans can also help make more accurate quotes.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. try to keep the garden as weed free as possible, when a gardener finally comes around they can spend more time on making your plants look their best.  2. ask your neighbours for access to their green bins if they aren't using them. it saves both you and the gardener time and money.  3. try to get some basic information about plants you want to put in the garden, such as height and width, sun and soil requirements if any and think (or ask your gardener) if they are suitable for what you want and their location. it helps with the long term outcome of your garden. if you put  a little thought into plants and their function it can also save money in the long term, buy reducing maintenance costs.

i have constantly studied landscaping and horticulture for the past 8 years and i am currently studying the diploma of landscape design at ryde TAFE. i have a certificate iii in horticulture parks and gardens and have also picked up a great deal of experience from various jobs, landscape architects and designers i have worked for.
