Location: Kinross, WAJob Description: The garage parapet front gable has rotated and moved overtime due to damp ingress and differential movement and is classed as a structural defect that requires addressing. Daylight can be seen through the horizontal cracking from within the roof void also. The main steel lintel under has started rusting and swelling also allowing minor movement The parapet capping has been allowing damp ingress through for many years and this requires a colourbond capping to be installed to stop continuous water ingress. Internally the gable requires fixings and straps to tie it back into the roof structure itself. When these have been addressed the cracks can be filled with a chemical grout filler and then be sealed and painted.Roofing service required: Fix cracked or missing pieces | Type of roof: Slates | Type of building: Single-level home
