Trim Garden Helpers maintains Public Liability, General Indemnity and vehicle insurances. Gardens are often fickle. We are not able to guarantee our work beyond providing quality care and professional work.

I retired from a high-pressured desk-bound job and realised an opportunity to return to an earlier profession.

Working with other passionate gardeners. There are many opportunity to learn from each other, or in many circumstances, to work alongside a relatively new young gardener, helping them understand plants, their growth habits, and how each plant can complement and add something special to a home.

Any barriers that could affect the capacity to achieve the desired outcome: access to the site; soil types (heavy clay) or seasonal factors, known hidden drip lines, water, gas or other service distribution systems.   Sometimes it just isn't possible to provide a quote. In such cases Trim Garden Helpers usually suggests being engaged for a couple of hours and then undertaking a review, with the customer of work achieved.

Trim Garden Helpers works WITH their customers, seeking to effectively interpret and action their ideas and needs. Prior to bring in a gardener, customers should: 1. Have a clear understanding of what it to be done; 2. Have drawn up a list of tasks, written out and ready to discuss with the gardener. It saves time and avoids misunderstandings 3. Have an affordable and realistic budget estimate in their head before they engage a gardener.

Catherine and I each have our specialty areas of the garden - Catherine likes weeding, I like pruning and plant care. Oneflare customers can have both of us working in their garden for the reduced rate of $65 (incl gst) per hour - a saving on costs and time to achieve the desired outcome.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Trim Garden Helpers is a small business working out of shared premises that enable overheads to be kept to a minimum. We are aware of the hourly rate of the larger gardening firms and over the past three years have been able to consistently achieve a 30% reduction of prices against those operators.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Trim Garden Helpers's standard rate is $45 (incl gst) per hour. We can provide a Tax Invoice and accept EFTPOS into our bank account, as well as cheques and cash. Our terms are for payment within 14 days of Invoicing.

Many of our existing clients are passionate gardeners, but ageing backs and knees means seeking assistance to maintain their gardens to the standards they have previously achieved. We provide the muscle, expertise and initiative to enable continuing enjoyment of their displays.
