  I hired Chris Anasis , Straight Up Fencing and Retaining Wall, trough google search, to erect a new fence. As I wanted to get the job done quickly, I did not do much research and accepted his quote (my bad). He asked me for 50% deposit and another $500 in cash, which in good faith I’ve paid when he first arrived. When he finally arrived, he ripped out my old fence, and badly damaged my brick wall. During the next 4 weeks he was making up all kind of excuses for not coming back to do the job. Finally, after four weeks I have asked him for the refund, but he refused and disappeared. I’ve tried to contact him several times but to no avail. In the end I’ve ended up with damaged wall, loss of money and time and nothing done.

  In April 1st of 2019, I had hired Chris Anasis to construct a retaining wall at the front of my newly built house, along with installing a Colorbond boundary fence, levelling the ground surface and laying turf to the amount of $25,700 and 3 weeks time (originally one week when quoted). When Chris had asked me for a $15,000 deposit for the purchase of materials, I advised him he's only legally required to ask for %10 and what's to stop him running with my money. He said that would never happen and he promises "not to screw me over as he had been in the past". Chris Anasis had told me he was licensed , but had never provided me his license number. I later found this to be a lie. After eight weeks of not showing up and working three hour days every other day and not showing up when promised, I questioned Chris on the terrible quality of the job he was charged with completing, and asked him to fix his shoddy work when he packed up his tools and left never to bet seen again. I forwarded the matter to the Dept of Fair Trading who contacted Chris only to be hung up on. This matter is now going to the Building Tribunal. . Please people, do yourself and others a favour, tell all you know to stay clear of this business. I am happy to provide photos to anyone of the destruction that was left on my property and text messages to show the lies and deceit this grub will go to in order to make money.
