I always enjoyed working with tools and wood, and did this kind of work after my normal working hours as a chef and eventually decided to take it up as a full time job.

Once the job is completed and the customer is happy I am happy. I complete jobs the same as I would do for myself with top quality materials and with no short cuts.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

A person sees and hears many strange stories with regards to trades people working at a customers home alone and then going through the customers personal belongings. This is not what we do as we are there to do a job and a job only. Many of our customers are senior ladies and I am sure they would not hire us if we were not reliable and trustworthy.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Purely due to the end product supplied, honest in our dealings with customers, always on time and we use the correct materials for the job which in turn creates a very good job that will last and not fall to pieces after a few months or years.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I prefer to visit the site and to meet with the customer to ensure we are all on the same page before a quote/estimate is submitted to the customer. This also gives the customer a feel of what we are about.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Compare apples with apples when receiving quotes. We look at what we can re-use instead of just using new. We only take a 15 minute lunch break during the day. Our prices are based on a 8 hour day but most cases we work +_ 9 hours and dont charge extra. There are many things that changes the scope of works and we only charge for the extra materials in consultation  with the customer. We dont charge extra for the labour.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been doing this kind of work for the past 17 years now of which 11 was part time and have now been doing it full time for the past 6 years. I am a very motivated person and also very multi skilled.
