  Experience previously very positive, however on this occasion there were problems. It took a very long time to get the job done, and in the end we chose to get someone else in to fix problems after the job was finished. Damage was done to new materials (screw holes in the wrong places) and there were attempts made to cover these by plugging them & painting over them. After only a few days a screw dislodged from a horizontal bar bracket. It then became apparent that the screw was the load-bearer for tension keeping that section connected to the post and keeping the post in alignment. When the screw came out, the bar came away from its bracket, the post the bracket was on changed position, and the gate sagged and would not latch properly. The post itself should have been secure and the horizontal bar should only have been resting in the bracket, not under tension. To be fair, he probably would have come back to fix this part, but by that point we preferred to get someone else. Previous experience with this handyman was very positive so this was an unexpected outcome.
